PARTICIPANTS:

You are a manager or staff member of a programme / project (sector of global project, programme / project outside Germany) and would like to deepen your knowledge of Capacity WORKS and the associated tools.

OBJECTIVE:

You are able to apply GIZ's management model Capacity WORKS

Content:

This course comprises:

  • Overview of GIZ's management model Capacity WORKS
  • Overview of the concepts applied in Capacity WORKS and the five success factors
  • Introduction in how to use the model to manage cooperation systems, in particular with the aim of providing effective and sustainable support for capacity development in cooperation countries
  • Practical application of the appropriate tools for each success factor based on participants' own projects.

This course focuses on enhancing knowledge of and implementation options for CW tools in practice.To ensure that case work is relevant to practice, it is recommended that participants prepare a case or question based directly on their work to examine during the course (e.g. objectives and results matrix based on the services or the results matrix from a project that they are familiar with).
