Training of Trainers (Upon request)

An intensive 3-day advanced training on further developing personal trainer skills, suitable for facilitators and trainers who want to reflect on their existing training experiences and further develop their skills

In this training, the participants will exchange their experiences made during practical training. Participants will reflect on how to further strengthen their skills, explore possibilities to improve them and learn additional techniques according to their needs.

The training course is building upon the contents of the course “Effective Training Design and Management”.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the training, the participants will

  • reflected on their practical experiences as trainers;
  • reflected on influencing factors for success and explored space for individual improvement;
  • intensified their understanding of training methods and enlarged their respective toolbox;
  • enlarged their communication skills by knowing and understanding functions of question techniques;
  • found answers to specific challenges they formulated before the training course; and
  • developed an individual improvement plan for their further development as trainers.

  • Reflection sessions on challenges and positive experiences
  • Reflection on attitudes of trainers
  • Advanced methods for participative and experience-oriented training, from teaching contents to facilitating learning experiences
  • The art of questioning and explaining
  • The action learning set - a tool for mutual learning
  • Impact-orientation in training design and training evaluation
  • Introduction into the psychology of change
  • Dealing with challenging situations II
  • Development of individual improvement plans

Training approaches

  • Technical inputs & presentations, discussions, case studies, application of learning through practice including interactive methods
  • Individual and peer reflection sessions
  • Participants need to fill in self-reflection questionnaire prior to the training, so that the trainer can adjust the training to the group needs. However, the balance between the individual, group and topic content will be applied

Who should attend this training?

  • Current trainers/consultants in any specific topic who have intermediate experiences in being a trainer
  • Participants of the Effective Training Design and Management (previous Training of Trainers – Basic)  who implemented at least 3 trainings after the course
